A spin off of the film by the same name from 2000, The Crimson Rivers 2018 onwards, is a French crime thriller series, with English subtitles, thus far, spanning four seasons. This is a capably written series. Each story, which take up two episodes, are well thought out and often, very original. The characterisations have a down to earth, worldly, worn, quality about them, too, lending added depth to this production. In short, engrossing stuff. I had not planned to watch all of the first season in one week but that's precisely what I did. This one's well worth your time if you like quality French crime drama.
