Gili feels that Alamitu pities him for doing house chores. Tired of Nitsa's demands, Yakov decides to close himself in a room and write a novel.

Tamar wants to hire an Ethiopian maid but Gili won't hear of it. Tamar's brother arrives from Berlin and Nitsa suspects that he is back for good.

Nitsa and Yakov are shocked that Gili has never had a birthday celebration. Alamitu decides to change her name to make it easier for her colleagues.
