Ernesto receives a fax sent from 1553 by Antão Teles de Menezes, an agent of the Ministry, which reveals the list of passengers of the Nau São Bento. In it should be the name of Luiz Vaz de Camões. But for some yet unknown reason, history was changed. If nothing is done, the great poet will die before reaching India and writing his great work, Os Lusíadas.

We're in 1940, Francisco e Roberto, communists, try to escape Nazi Officers in the French Alps. They are caught by the Germans. Roberto is killed immediately. Francisco, in a desperate act of survival, claims to have relevant information for Himmler: he knows how to travel in time!

Salvador is in shock. He receives a visit from an American lawyer, named Stein. Not only did he manage to discover the existence, and address, of the Ministry of Time, he threatens to take the organisation to court. The motive: Stein represents the rabi Levy, who in 1492 revealed the doors of time to D. João II. Since, years later, the rabi was burned at the stake by the Inquisition, Stein demands a restitution of 100 million euro in five days... or he will tell the whole world everything he knows about the greatest secret of the Portuguese state.

The case is serious. Someone stole the original manuscript of the book "A Mensagem", by Fernando Pessoa. Aware of the importance of the work for Portuguese literature, Salvador decides to send his best patrol to 1934.

Viseu, 2016. In an archaeological excavation, dated from the XV century, two archaeologists find the most unbelievable object: a modern mobile phone, lost over five hundred years ago! The Ministry of Time is immediately alerted.

Irene recalls the moment of her recruitment to the Ministry of Time in 1965. It was Armando Névoa who recruited her, saving her from an unhappy life, to which Irene was willing to put an end. After getting involved with a woman, Tiago travels to 2013. He wants to spend the day with her wife, the woman he truly loves. However, the cemetery where Névoa is buried is invaded. His body is exhumed. Who did that? What is the reason? What are the consequences? The answers seem to be in 1862 to where the patrol is sent.

Tiago dreams recurringly with the death of Mariana, on December 23, 2013. At his side always appears a mysterious character, which Tiago recognizes from somehwere but can not identify. In the Ministry of Time another anachronism is discovered. In the poster of the famous film "O Pai Tirano" by António Lopes Ribeiro, a tablet of 2016 appears. Salvador sends the patrol to the studios of Tóbis during the shooting of the film (1940), to discover how the tablet appeared in the poster. And to eliminate this anachronism. It is also in this year that various information about their lives is apprehended by Tiago and Amélia: Tiago discovers who is the mysterious figure in his dreams and Amélia knows a relative of his future. Mafalda is once again on the path of patrol, and this time she is willing to reveal many secrets about the Ministério do Tempo. Tiago can not stop thinking about Mariana's death. He travels to 2013 determined to change the past. Amélia goes after him. Not to stop him, but to help him. The two arrive on December 23, 2013 only minutes from the fatal accident. They run to save Mariana. That's all Tiago wants. But not only he doesn't achieve it, but he will discover the most terrible of truths. And in the worst way.

1128, São Mamede. Gonçalo Mendes da Maia, the famous Lidador, one of the most important nobles of D. Afonso Henriques, fights bravely against Castilian enemies, without realizing that it is filmed at a distance by two men of the future. Only at the end of the battle, when it seems that only the Lidador has survived, when the silence falls on the field, the sound of the super8 film camera is heard. The medieval nobleman founds strange men watching him. As he prepares to interrogate them, a Castilian comes out of nowhere and kills him. One of the great Portuguese heroes died prematurely. Lisbon. 2016. It's been months since the last mission. Tiago returns to work, but he is still very shaken after what he discovered there. Afonso, Amélia, and the other members of the Ministério do Tempo try to help him get back to work, but everything seems to be fruitless. Irene also returns to active. Unlike Tiago, she's not well received. She's seen by members of the Ministério as a traitor. Only Salvador insists that she returns to work. Salvador summons Afonso and Amélia. He has a new mission for them. The Ministério discovered the tomb of the Lidador, during archaeological excavations ... But DNA analysis proves that the bones deposited there are not of the medieval knight. The patrol must leave immediately for 1139, on the eve of the Battle of Ourique, and discover what has happened. Amélia and Afonso want to know why Tiago wasn't summoned to the mission. Salvador just says he has a substitute for Tiago: Afonso de Albuquerque. Amélia, Afonso and Albuquerque arrive at 1139 and are quickly captured by the man who is supposed to be the Lidador. They will have to convince him that they are patriots and fight for Portugal in order to regain their freedom to find the evidence necessary to confirm that he is an impostor and find out what is the motivation behind this situation (which will go far beyond what the patrol can imagine). In 2016, Tiago makes a decision that could change the patrol forever.

Lisbon, 1981. Judicial police officer Júlio Mendes, known by the nickname Pacino, receives a request for help from the car radio. Upon arriving at the crime scene, he sees the criminal disappear into a closet. Following him, the officer finds himself in a strange world that he discovers to be the year 2016. Because Pacino is armed he is taken by robbery and arrested by the police. In the Ministério do Tempo no one can find out where Tiago is. Amélia is the one who misses him the most. Salvador is alerted to the capture of a wanted killer since 1981. The reason this matter is brought to the Ministério is simple. The suspect did not age one single day, despite 35 years have passed. It's the same man Pacino followed. Salvador gives orders for Pacino to be transferred to the Ministério. After being cleared of the crime, the PJ officer is ready to help capture the murderer, whom he believes was responsible for the disbelief of his father, also a police officer, in a case similar to this one, which happened in 1946... Salvador and Ernesto are sure about one thing: they're facing a serial killer with the ability to travel in time. After the case is settled, Pacino isn't satisfied. Now that he knows the secret of time travel, he wants to change the past. He wants to avoid his father's suicide. For that he'll have an unexpected help and doesn't care if he has to put the lives of all members of the Ministério do Tempo in jeopardy. Neither if he changes the story in an unpredictable and dangerous way.

Lisbon, 1887. The ink from the last page of "Os Maias" has not dried yet, and Eça de Queiroz already receives an offer that can't be refuted. Some English publishers want to buy he's manuscript. And for such a sum that Eça de Queiroz will finally be able to fulfill his most secret dream: to become a playwright and theater director. Without knowing that the man in front of him is Wallcott, an agent of the mysterious Companhia, Eça de Queiroz accepts the business and changes his literary career for the performing arts. In 2016, the Ministério do Tempo is quickly alerted. Salvador can not allow "Os Maias" not to be published, and that all Queiroz' s later works are not written. Pacino still can not go on this mission. He still has to undergo the agent training. That's why Salvador orders Luís Vaz de Camões to join Amélia and Afonso in this mission. The three depart for 1887. Amélia's plan goes through two stages: 1) infiltrating the theater company that Eça de Queiroz is assembling and sabotaging the play and 2) discovering who bought the manuscript of "Os Maias." Meanwhile, while trying to salvage one of the most important books in Portuguese literature, the patrol will come up against a new method that will forever change time travel. In 2016, Salvador makes a phone call to Tiago. He just wants to know what he's fine. Tiago says he's OK, but he still doesn't feel able to return to the Ministério.
