Much like the former season Citadel Diana is, yet again, to a good degree a case of style over substance. Its hard to differentiate this latest season from some kind of outlandish, James Bond themed, fashion show. Everything from buildings, sets, clothing and even weapons, has a haute couture quality to it. This is spy vs spy, for the fashion conscious. The story by contrast, is a basic stripped down affair, with yet another girl boss, taking on a corrupt global organisation, responsible for the death of her parents. Acting is actually pretty reasonable, the simple story sort of works and as always the exposition is well done, if ridiculous.I will add, I don't like the constant oscillating between past and present, its more than a little distracting. In summary, Citadel Diana is saved from being as uninspiring as its predecessor by superior acting and thus far (I haven't watched the whole thing) not trying to being too clever with its basic story. In short, a moderate watch.
