Description
Royce Hagan returns from the sea to claim and inhabit a 2000 acre ranch in one of the last wild places left in central Florida. Old family friend Booker T Robertson is welcoming but warns him not to get "too close" to a strange family living in the woods nearby. Royce falls in love with Twyla, the oldest daughter, and discovers the bizarre secret of the Hole in the Wall and the enchanted people who live there.

Cat People, but on a budget This is clearly reminiscent of Cat People (1982), but without the fantastic casting, great directing, and amazing soundtrack. This instead relies on two shaky and one overacted main characters, a more disjointed narrative and no real atmospheric sound or set-design to bring it all together. It is by no means an incompetent movie, and I get what it is going for, but it falls way short of its superior inspiration (and this was clearly inspired by the 1982 movie).
